In 1989, Babyface co-founded LaFace Records with Antonio “L.A.” Reid, laying the foundation for a powerhouse label that would shape the careers of top-selling and chart-topping artists for four decades. Under his direction, LaFace Records became synonymous with success, launching the careers of iconic artists such as TLC, Usher, and Toni Braxton.
