At the beginning of this year Beyoncé  broke records when she became the first black musician to transition to country music with her album Cowboy Carter.

She even took it a step further by including black artists on the album, and just this week, one of the featured artists on the album “Shaboozey” has also scored his first number one  country album .

Reading black music empowerment books didn’t make sense then, but now, seeing Beyonce  do it practically makes a lot of sense.
