    I remember way back when I first heard the term black music I thought it was referring to the music being sad or something because I never thought anything about the colour of someone’s skin having anything to do with music and I still never think about such matters when I’m listening to music.

      That’s a fair assessment to make (initially). At face value it does seem like a genre such as blues music. When listenin’ to certain music genres it’s important to not divorce the heritage of the artist from their music. Doing so in some cases the music loses its essence. /gen
